Very Rare - Sterling silver & grandidierite ring
This gorgeous gem was a real find. It's an untreated .15ct natural round (3.5mm) facet cut vivid neon blue Grandidierite. It is one of the 10 rarest gem varieties in the world and hails from southern Madagascar.
In subdued conditions, it looks more deep green but when the light hits it wow you can see why it's called neon!
I thought that such a lofty gem deserved an imposing setting. This ring is solid sterling silver (30g) 5mm w behind the finger, increasing to 12mm w at the top. Height from the finger to the top is 8mm. Ring size itself is approximately 18mm diameter which is a NZ P.
If this isn't your ring size then I can make a version especially for you but not with this gem (unless I manage to source another one that is, anything is possible!).
