Protection - Silver and synthetic sapphires half shield ring

This ring I can't recreate as it has some truly unique inclusions.  On both the top and bottom edge the metal has lapped the stone but not quite made it all the way round.  

If you look closely at the photographs you can see this on the synthetic emerald rectangle and again on the synthetic blue square and circle sapphires.  

18 x stones in all, in various shapes, shades and sizes.  I've kind of gone from green at one end to blue, warm browns to clear.  The stones are secure, they have gone through a harsh ultra-sonic clean and remained in place.  However, any jewelry is fragile and must be treated with care. 

The half shield shape is 10mm at the top and 3mm at the base, 2mm thick.  The back half of the ring has a matt finish. I have kept the texture from the pour around the stones on the top half.  Much more interesting. 

Inner diameter is 18mm which makes this a size between a NZ P and Q.
