Aligned - Silver and synthetic sapphire ring

The top face is about 1.5cm x 1cm tapering to 0.6mm at the back of the finger.  3mm thick at top, 1mm at base.  Not completely symmetrical, there are slight curves and waves along the band, you can see some texture from the pour, all of which let's you know that this piece is 100% handmade. 

Eight clear synthetic sapphires has been cast-not-set into the metal.  Various sizes and shapes from very large oval to tiny circles. 

I've kept the texture between the stones and you can clearly see where the metal decided to surround each one.  Uncontrived, uncomplicated yet endlessly fascinating.
